José van Dam is the special guest of the final talk of the Festival Vienna Classics! He talks about his role as Leoporello in the famous film Don Giovanni, directed by Joseph Losey in 1979. What is the difference between stage and film? Can opera be translated into film – what is gained, what is lost? The movie Don Giovanni is also on the program of the Festival Vienna Classics (Studio 5), thanks to the collaboration with the Cinematek: do not miss the opportunity to see this new copy, with co-stars Ruggero Raimondi in the title role, and the conductor Lorin Maazel.
